The players know how much time they have to get ready to hit that field. M. We feel this is very important. We do not go five minutes before 8 and not one minute before 8. M. In the first session, we work on agilities, flexibilities, and the four-corners drill. We want to get the blood flowing in the body. We run four agilities for about 120 yards each and then go to our flexibilities. After we do our flexes, we go to the four corners. Each coach takes a corner. We run through agility stations for about 30 seconds each.
Henry is a public high school in west central Ohio. We are a Division 5 school, which is the smallest division in Ohio. We have about 400 students in our high school, grades 9 through 12. We have about 50 students on our football team. Next year we hope to have about 60 kids on our team. It is a German-Catholic community. It is a great community to work in. The community is very important to us as far as what we can do with our football team. Before I get into our seasonal program, I want to talk about some things I feel are the keys to a successful program as far as our program goes.
On offense, we have one coach with the quarterbacks and other backs, one coach with wide receivers and flankers, one coach with the tackles and tight ends, and one coach with the guards and centers. On defense, we have one coach with the defensive line, one coach with the linebackers, one coach with the ends, and one coach with the secondary. When we break down our special teams, we use all of our coaches. Each coach is in charge of one phase of the special teams. As the head coach, you must have confidence in your staff to do this.
